No Foreign Intervention

La Tribuna has a statement from the de facto government's Foreign Minister, Carlos Lopez Contreras, who says neither the OAS nor the international community will be allowed to intervene in the political crisis in Honduras.

"Its not a matter that threatens the international peace or security; in consequence, there's no reason for the OAS to intervene. Its an internal problem, so the international community does not need to intervene."

Shutting down the international airports ensures that no international observers or mediators can enter the country. This is impunity in action.
