Arias To Boycott Lobo Inauguration

Oscar Arias, president of Costa Rica, announced today he will not attend the inauguration of Porfirio Lobo Sosa. Arias was among those calling for the international community to recognize the results of the November 29 election. Arias said that Lobo's inability to get Micheletti to resign before January 27 "was a demonstration of weakness that neither Lobo nor the Honduran people deserve.".

Arias is so expert at being on both sides of any issue, he should enter the Olympic broadjump competition. I guess I'm glad he apparently has some remorse for what he participated in, but to blame Lobo's "weakness" instead of his own seems very definitely misplaced.
