They are just voting now in Congress. While I fully expect them to reaffirm the coup, its not yet done.RNShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14197289255196253989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2341954168256070610.post-16741075914645775462009-12-02T13:32:30.165-08:002009-12-02T13:32:30.165-08:00Well, they are upon the Rubicon. They have introduced a resolution into Congress to ratify the coup, as Ch. 36 says.

It's hard to believe that things are this far gone into delusion.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2341954168256070610.post-11741340079432751702009-12-02T13:32:30.166-08:002009-12-02T13:32:30.166-08:00The Congress just voted against reinstating Zelaya...The Congress just voted against reinstating Zelaya. It was a forgone conclusion after the election, I felt. Now we'll see him negotiate for exile.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14039295868021929399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2341954168256070610.post-71243625192274107932009-12-01T10:03:03.067-08:002009-12-01T10:03:03.067-08:00That Reuters UK article towards the end says "...That Reuters UK article towards the end says "Zelaya initially went into EXILE after the coup but returned to the country and has been camped out in the Brazilian embassy since September." Simply disgusting saying that he went into exile implying it was done voluntarily. At this late date and some in the media are still writing this garbage.Caonabohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16087131983059227318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2341954168256070610.post-52136274676266035212009-12-01T09:23:45.776-08:002009-12-01T09:23:45.776-08:00I don't believe anything I read. The US media ...I don't believe anything I read. The US media read as if they are following a script for a play. Periodically we hear a recognizable motif, like the "Paranoid Anti-Semitic Dictator Etude" or the "Chorale in Marxist Minor," and the rest of the time, it is toneless chants of "Democracy good, [insert name of scapegoat] bad." So the current tune is "Pep Rally: Group Hug," in which countries supporting the coup are in front of the microphone, while those who oppose are on mute. Does anyone seriously think that will have any effect on reality except perhaps on the American political scene?

It's not clear to me why anyone pays to listen to this kind of weird modern theater. Trying to pick out facts that could lead one to make a reasonable opinion is like going through a dumpster looking for an unsullied apple pie.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
