CEAL Speaks
CEAL, the Enterprise Council for Latin America, whose Honduran branch hired the lobbying firm that includes Lanny Davis, has asked the international community to monitor the agreement in Honduras. "We hope and trust the international community will be observant and watch for both parties to completely fulfill each one of the points in the agreement," CEAL wrote in a communique issed yesterday. In case of any violation, CEAL will demand that "U.S. government, the Organization of American States, the United Nations and the international community in general immediately condemn those actions and demand the fulfillment of the agreement."
I think their main concern is that if Congress does not, or takes too long to reinstate Zelaya, then there will be calls to not recognize elections.
